Supply chain experts EURODECISION and PlaniSense have signed a technology partnership agreement. It combines the computational power of the algorithmic engines of the decision mathematics specialist EURODECISION with the functional richness of the PlaniSense software planning solution.

On the occasion of the 2023 edition of Supply Chain Event, which will open its doors next week at Paris Porte de Versailles, supply chain experts EURODECISION and PlaniSense announce to have concluded a partnership agreement. The latter is both human and technological, as Ronan Bars, Managing Director of EURODECISION (left of the photo) explains: 'For many companies, supply chain planning is increasingly complex. Complex due to the increasing number of constraints and rules, but also often due to the diversification of companies' product offerings. Our partnership with PlaniSense is based on the combination of our two business areas of expertise: that of our know-how in decision mathematics and algorithmic calculation, with the wide functional coverage of PlaniSense planning software solutions.” Jointly, the EURODECISION and PlaniSense teams identify the problem to be solved, then decide on the configuration of the algorithmic optimization engines best suited to the planning needs. PlaniSense’s software suite, which integrates these engines, will offer very precise schedules that can sometimes be fully automated. “By joining forces, we are responding to major business challenges,” says Nazim Nachi, CEO and co-founder of PlaniSense. “ This allows them to avoid revenue breaks and losses, reduce operating costs and have a better environmental impact by reducing material losses.”

A first contract signed with FORVIA (ex Faurecia), the automotive leader
After a first internal POC, to validate the compatibility of the solutions and teams, PlaniSense and EURODECISION signed their first contract with Forvia (formerly Faurecia), an international automotive supplier. To optimize its manufacturing planning process for its dashboards, EURODECISION configured its LP-Scheduler calculation module in the PlaniSense platform, which is itself interfaced with SAP and other industrial production software. The automatic scheduling solution was deployed at a first site in Spain between 2022 and 2023. About ten production plants are currently being deployed in Europe and North America, with first convincing results. The planning solution reduced assembly line breaks by 50%, plastic raw material losses by 25%, and increased productivity by 4%. The tool performs planning almost in real time, every 5 minutes, allowing to be as close as possible to the operational reality of the equipment manufacturer. “There will be no 4.0 factory without automatic supply chain planning. The combination of our two know-how perfectly meets this need for reactivity,” conclude Nazim Nachi and Ronan Bars.
