PTV Mira

Supply chain software publisher PTV Logistics announces the launch of PTV Mira: a new artificial intelligence agent designed to transform the way logistics teams plan, optimize and make decisions. Built on PTV Logistics' API-first platform and powered by artificial intelligence, PTV Mira allows teams to interact directly with true logistics intelligence through natural and intuitive conversation. Planning is no longer done through complex interfaces, but through simple and natural exchanges, like a conversation with a colleague.

In a sector where delivery times are getting tighter, volumes fluctuate from day to day and transport plans need to be continuously adjusted, optimization tools often remain difficult to fully exploit.

With PTV Mira, PTV Logistics is revolutionizing logistics by making over 40 years of algorithmic expertise instantly accessible. Logistics teams can directly ask the AI about their daily challenges: "Why isn't order #107 scheduled?", "Show me the least efficient routes," or "Should we open a warehouse in Lille or Paris? Compare the two scenarios." PTV Mira interprets the intent, performs actual optimization calculations, generates and compares scenarios, and explains the results in seconds.

“PTV Mira represents a major shift for our industry. We’re moving from interacting with logistics software to collaborating with artificial intelligence. If you can explain a problem to a colleague, you can work with PTV Mira. As teams gain confidence in it, it gradually takes on more tasks, from explanation to recommendation, and finally to execution. This combination of accessibility and 40 years of algorithmic expertise creates a whole new category: intelligence that evolves with you” says Steven De Schrijver, CEO of PTV Logistics.

Real optimization, not generic AI

Unlike generic chatbots, PTV Mira relies on comprehensive logistical intelligence. It integrates advanced route planning algorithms, multi-constraint optimization, depot and territory modeling, time slot and vehicle capacity management, driver rules, and constraints related to electric vehicle consumption and charging. PTV Mira relies on also using up-to-date maps and precise geocoding to provide immediately actionable results for planners, operators, and transport managers. It doesn't guess: it simulates, calculates, and optimizes. "Thanks to our API-first platform, PTV Mira can directly orchestrate our underlying technology. It has write access to the engines, not just read access to the dashboards. That's the real breakthrough: conversational control over real-world actions," explains Douglas Wilson, Chief Technology Officer at PTV Logistics.

An API-first architecture for conversational control

This advancement is made possible by PTV Logistics' API-first architecture. "PTV Mira eliminates the friction that has existed in logistics for years. Instead of clicking on screens or exporting data, teams remain focused on the problem to be solved. It doesn't replace our products; it enhances them by making their intelligence immediately usable , " adds An De Wispelaere, Chief Product Officer.

Two modes, one partner

PTV Mira supports both daily operations and strategic decisions. In assistant mode, it helps operational teams resolve disruptions, analyze plans, identify anomalies, and perform quick checks throughout the day. In consultant mode, it supports strategic decisions such as depot site selection, fleet strategy, electrification, and multi-scenario investment analysis. Simulations that used to take hours can now be explored in minutes, giving teams greater responsiveness and leaders a clear, long-term vision.

The PTV Logistics team will be pleased to present PTV Mira at the SITL 2026 trade fair.
