As part of its international development strategy, the French leader in shipping management software solutions for shippers (TMS) TDI has chosen Spain to establish its first subsidiary in Europe. Its ambition: to become a major player in the market.

The publisher of TMS for shippers, TDI, announces the creation of its first subsidiary in Europe. And for its first establishment, the French company is banking on Spain. The new entity will be domiciled in Madrid and managed by Edmundo Brito, appointed for the occasion Country Manager of TDI España. A graduate of an IMBA (International Master of Business Administration), his mission will be to develop TDI's activities in the country, but also to establish strategic partnerships with local WMS and TMS software publishers. To carry out this mission, Edmundo Brito benefits from solid experience in the transport and logistics sector. Before joining TDI in 2021, as export manager, he was responsible for the development of the logistician DSV from 2011 to 2020 for Latin America: Brazil and Mexico, his country of origin.

An end-to-end solution, adapted to the local market
To strengthen its position in Spain, the publisher intends to rely on its solid international experience and a software solution already recognized by the largest players in the market (THE KOOPLES, MISTER AUTO, LA REDOUTE, SAINT-GOBAIN, SPARTOO …). Created in 1999 by Didier Guichard, TDI has become the French leader in TMS in 25 years. The company based in Lyon (Rhône-Alpes) employs 110 employees. Its solutions are deployed in around ten countries in Europe but also in Singapore and the United States. TDI offers an end-to-end shipment management solution for manufacturers, logisticians, e-retailers and distributors working in a multitude of sectors: automotive, luxury, health, textiles, etc. To date, more than 1,000 delivery sites shipping in France and internationally are equipped with its solutions. Its TMS covers a functional scope ranging from the selection of the best carrier to make a delivery, to the edition of labels and certified EDI, to real-time monitoring of last mile shipments, to the management of anomalies and analysis of key performance indicators ( KPI). Another argument for developing on the market: its solution already references nearly 50% of the most used carriers in Spain.

A team dedicated to Spain
To achieve its growth ambitions, TDI is finally focusing on people. In his new role, Edmundo Brito's mission is to create a team entirely dedicated to Spanish companies and brands in order to provide a local service meeting the specific needs of companies. It already consists of a project manager dedicated to the implementation of TDI solutions, an expert occupying a support function in Spain and Country Manager Edmundo Brito. At the beginning of 2024, TDI plans to open a second subsidiary, this time in Italy.

“The dynamism of e-commerce sales and the growing digitalization of transport operations make Spain a particularly buoyant market. This is why we are delighted to announce the establishment of our first European subsidiary in the country. TDI is a company recognized in Europe which offers a complete TMS solution, approved by the biggest players. By establishing ourselves in Madrid, we will be as close as possible to Spanish companies to support them in carrying out the digital transformation of their shipment management,” rejoices Edmundo Brito, Country Manager of TDI España.
