UVOTec integrates the new Destuff-it™ into its catalogue
The specialist in ergonomic handling solutions, UVOTec, announces the integration into its portfolio of version 2.0 of the mobile Destuff-it conveyor, developed by the Canadian manufacturer Gorbel. Presented in April at the MODEX 2026 trade show in Atlanta, this new generation strengthens the collaboration between UVOTec and Gorbel around the distribution of the Destuff-it in France and the Benelux.
In 2025, UVOTec expanded its offering by integrating the Destuff-it, a compact, mobile and ergonomic conveyor designed to simplify container unloading. A best-seller from manufacturer Gorbel, this system has been adopted by hundreds of industrial and logistics players around the world for its ability to reduce work hardship while increasing the productivity of logistics operations. With the Destuff-it 2.0, UVOTec now offers an improved version, more intuitive, safer and even more efficient.
Reinvented ergonomics
Among the new features of this 2.0 version, the Destuff-it is equipped with joystick control and a human-machine interface (HMI). Result: the handling of the conveyor by operators is simplified, allowing them to master the equipment in just a few minutes and to facilitate its movements in trailers and on warehouse docks.
A three‑belt mobile conveyor
Another advantage, Gorbel’s pivoting conveyor is equipped with three belts, capable of supporting up to 75 kg. Compact, it has been specifically designed to get as close as possible to container walls and thus reduce physical handling. During tests carried out by the manufacturer, the system reached a throughput of more than 1,200 parcels per hour, confirming the productivity gains observed for more than fifteen years by the manufacturer.
Enhanced safety and simplified maintenance
In terms of safety and installation, the Destuff-it 2.0 operates on a 120 V power supply. The system offers an emergency stop, improved safety sensors and reinforced lighting to secure unloading operations. The new human-machine interface (HMI) also helps technicians with diagnostics during maintenance operations. All the motors ensuring the movements of the conveyor are also electric, which further strengthens the reliability of the system and limits maintenance operations.
The new Destuff-it 2.0 is offered in two versions: the DT200 model, equipped with an operator platform raised by 76 cm, allowing easy reach of the top of trailer walls; and the DT100 model, without a platform, designed for environments where space optimization is a priority, while retaining the ergonomic and productivity benefits of the system.
“In integrating the Destuff-it 2.0, we are continuing our commitment to offering ergonomic and high‑performance handling solutions. This new version brings improvements in safety, maneuverability and productivity. It perfectly meets the expectations of warehouses, where reducing hardship and optimizing flows are essential,” says Laurent Uvo, director of UVOTec.
For Gorbel, this evolution marks a new step: “The Destuff-it 2.0 builds on more than fifteen years of field feedback. We are pleased to continue our collaboration with UVOTec, whose expertise and proximity to European logistics players are decisive in supporting the deployment of this new generation,” says Rob Beightol, marketing director at Gorbel.
