On the occasion of SITL, which will be held from March 19 to 21 in Paris Nord Villepinte, the “solutions” entity of the French network of transporters and logisticians Evolutrans announces the creation of a commercial unit. Its vocation: to pool the local expertise of its transport members to respond to regional and national calls for tenders from major clients.

It’s a small revolution taking place at Evolutrans Solutions. The service company of the national network of transporters and logisticians Evolutrans announces that it has created a department dedicated to the marketing of its standardized pallet transport offer, also known on the market under the VOLUPAL brand. A first for the organization created more than 20 years ago. “Until now, Evolutrans Solutions was exclusively dedicated to carrying out the transport of goods on pallets. Commercial requests went through our members, our WEPAL digital platform, or through our headquarters in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier where they were dispatched to our carriers according to the distribution zones, explains Pierre Lataste, President of Evolutrans Solutions. With the creation of this commercial unit, the challenge is twofold: pooling the local expertise of our members to respond to regional and national calls for tenders from major clients. We will thus create value by providing additional freight to our members. »

A team dedicated to shippers

Operational since June, the new sales department of Evolutrans Solutions plays the role of catalyst for its members and shippers looking for transport solutions on pallets. To process requests - calls for tenders, direct requests or requests for referencing - Evolutrans Solutions has formed a team made up of development managers who rely on the network's production department for engineering. She is supported by a commerce commission composed of the President of Evolutrans Solutions Pierre Lataste, the Managing Director Laurent Janniaud, and two directors sitting on the company's board of directors.

Think global, act local

To convince large shippers operating regionally and nationally, Evolutrans Solutions intends to implement a strategy based on the expression “think global, act local.” » And to do this, the organization has no shortage of arguments: a national network made up of 100 members, local carriers benefiting from a strong anchor in their territory. Another advantage for the network: 100% of transport is carried out by members without any subcontracting. A service that relies on IT tools since the carrier network has its own information system linked to the TMS software of its carriers. It makes it possible to precisely monitor the execution and performance of transport controlled by a quality department made up of a technical director and three permanent staff who constantly monitor the indicators, lead and train members to meet the network's quality requirements. Finally, the Evolutrans business branch intends to highlight the pooling of goods thanks to its network of 13 cross-docking platforms covering all of France. Fully loaded trucks that reduce their number on the roads and the carbon footprint of loaders. Of the 2 million pallets transported on average each year, 400,000 were delivered in 2023 using low-carbon energy vehicles.
