As part of its internal TMS upgrade, the Roissy-based carrier – a subsidiary of the Parnass Group – chose to integrate the route calculation API from PTV Logistics. The objective: to increase operational efficiency and predictive capabilities, while maintaining full control over its transport management tool.

With a fleet of 230 vehicles (tractors and swap bodies), Parnass Transport supports major service providers in the sector 24/7. Since 2010, the company has specialized in the regular transport of goods weighing over 3.5 tonnes in the Île-de-France region and throughout France. It operates from a base in Goussainville (95) and provides vehicles with drivers for haulage, as well as hourly rental services.

Faced with the increasing complexity of its operations, Parnass Transport decided to develop its own TMS. "No standard TMS truly suited our organization. So we developed our own tool to fully adapt it to our processes. We are evolving it by integrating AI to gain speed in analysis, improve predictability, and help our operations department make the best decisions," explains Jawad Meftah, Head of Operations at Parnass Transport.

Rapid integration, in complete autonomy

To automate its route calculations, Parnass Transport relies on the Routing API of the PTV Developer platform. This choice meets the carrier's need for autonomy and flexibility. The API optimizes routes by taking into account numerous parameters: vehicle characteristics, real-time traffic, types of roads used, driving regulations, and more. The interface also provides reliable ETAs, enabling real-time tracking, anticipation of potential issues, and proactive communication with clients in case of delays. It also generates toll and fuel consumption estimates, facilitating actual billing and comparison between forecasts and on-the-ground data. "Following a discovery and testing phase, the API integration was carried out quickly and independently, thanks to the documentation available on the PTV Developer website," explains Jawad Meftah.

A scalable and economical solution

This flexibility is also functional, as Parnass Transport now has access to the platform's entire catalog: "The breadth of our API catalog allows Parnass Transport to progressively develop its TMS: today with route calculation, tomorrow with map display, address geocoding, matrix calculation for thousands of routes, load optimization, and ultimately, complete route optimization," explains Damien Labasle , Account Manager Executive at PTV Logistics. The API platform also stands out for its attractive business model: each transport request made by Parnass Transport is billed at less than one euro cent. Parnass's new TMS will be fully operational in early March 2026.
