Riou Glass acquires Belgian company H²Glass with Euroglas

Riou Glass, a specialist in high-performance, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly insulating glass, announces the acquisition of H²Glass in collaboration with its partner, the glass group Euroglas. This transaction marks a new strategic step in Riou Glass's development in Europe and allows the company to strengthen its regional presence in Belgium.
Founded on recognized expertise, H²Glass is a European leader in flat glass processing, particularly for interior and exterior applications. Located in Villers-le-Bouillet, in the province of Liège, the company benefits from a modern infrastructure, including a 10,000 m² industrial site equipped with the most advanced automation technologies.
This positioning allows H²Glass to guarantee high product quality while responding quickly and flexibly to specific market needs. H²Glass offers a wide range of certified products, from tempered and laminated glass to fire-resistant glass, as well as tailor-made solutions tailored to the requirements of construction and interior design professionals.
This strategic acquisition was made in partnership with Euroglas, a subsidiary of Glass Invest, in which Riou Glass acquired a 55% stake at the end of 2022. It aims to strengthen Riou Glass's territorial network in Belgium and complement its offering with the diversity of H²Glass products. It also allows Riou Glass to integrate a partner recognized for its technical expertise and commitment to environmental responsibility.
An innovative and sustainable industrial project
Equipped with a high level of automation, H²Glass benefits from a modern production unit designed to maximize efficiency and product quality, while reducing the physical strain on employees. By combining technology and human expertise, this plant will become a model of industrial innovation within the group. H² Glass is also a key player in sustainable development. Among its initiatives, the company uses photovoltaic panels to generate renewable energy, collects and recycles rainwater to minimize its water footprint, and uses energy-efficient machinery. These commitments are part of Riou Glass's CSR strategy, which focuses on sustainability and reducing its environmental impact.
A European Growth Strategy
Following Glass Invest's equity investment at the end of 2022 and the acquisition of Vidresif in Spain in October 2023, the acquisition of H² Glass demonstrates the group's desire to consolidate its position as a major European player in flat glass processing. These strategic steps reflect Riou Glass's commitment to innovate and meet growing market needs while respecting the highest environmental standards.
"This acquisition represents a key step forward in our European growth strategy." "The integration of H²Glass into the Riou Glass group, alongside our partner Euroglas, illustrates our commitment to innovation, sustainability and technical excellence, while strengthening our presence in Belgium to offer our customers high-end, high-value glass solutions. We are enthusiastic about integrating the talents of H²Glass into the larger Riou Glass family," says Christine Riou Feron, President of Riou Glass.
