Log'issimo x Sanrival

To supply 3,000 points of sale, Sanrival Jardin, the leading distributor of seeds to major food retailers, has been using Log'issimo, La Poste Solutions Business's local logistics brand, for the past two months. According to Antoine Bretaire, the factory and information systems director, the quality of service and adherence to delivery deadlines are already evident.

Four to five million. That's the number of seed packets distributed each year by Sanrival Jardin. Founded in 1937, this family business, based in Vieux-Condé in the Hauts-de-France region (59), is a major player in the distribution of seeds for amateur gardeners. In the food retail sector, Sanrival Jardin is even the market leader. Overall, the seed company is present in 3,000 retail outlets, including supermarkets and DIY stores, primarily in France but also in neighboring countries (Luxembourg, Spain, etc.).

This success rests both on the quality of the selected seeds (vegetable seeds, flower seeds, heirloom varieties, organic seeds – more than 500 varieties in total) and on the performance of its logistics, a key factor in the company's growth strategy . The word "service" is a powerful word for us. It is the foundation of our business as retailers. " underlines Antoine Bretaire.

The last kilometer is covered by an electric vehicle

To improve delivery times and efficiency, Sanrival Jardin has been using Log'issimo for the past two months. From Sanrival's 6,000 m² warehouse, located at its headquarters, the local logistics brand of La Poste Solutions Business consolidates seed packets packaged at its logistics hub in Lesquin before shipping them to distribution points within one or two days. Log'issimo provides courier services, from parcels to pallets, including scheduled deliveries, and also offers a freight forwarding solution. For the last mile, all deliveries are made using electric vehicles of all sizes, depending on restocking needs.

“In just two months, we have seen an overall improvement in reliability and service quality: fewer disputes, fewer damaged goods, and fewer delivery delays. Log'issimo also provides us with greater flexibility in transport capacity, allowing us to better absorb seasonal peaks. Finally, delivery by electric vehicle perfectly aligns with our value: being close to nature,” says Antoine Bretaire.
