FastBots SSI Schaefer

At SITL 2026, SSI SCHAEFER is unveiling the FastBots solution in a world premiere, a disruptive innovation that redefines the standards of warehouse automation. The group will also be demonstrating, for the first time in France, its robotic solution for preparing small parts, SSI Piece Picking.

FastBots Solution marks a true paradigm shift in warehouse design. Unlike traditional conveyor systems, this innovation relies on a fleet of autonomous robots capable of moving freely within the space, orchestrated in real time by an intelligent fleet controller. This approach eliminates the rigidity of fixed infrastructure and introduces unprecedented agility in flow management.

The solution is particularly distinguished by its exceptional throughput, reaching tens of thousands of movements per hour in just a few hundred square meters. Its short transfer distance, combined with an extremely compact vehicle architecture, allows for a fivefold increase in space efficiency and operational density compared to existing approaches, enabling the transport of 10,000 packages per hour. Designed for continuous, high-frequency transport, the vehicles ensure a constant flow between warehouse areas and workstations, with minimized waiting times.

Modularity is also central to the system: the number and layout of vehicles, aisles, workstations, and charging stations can be configured and adapted to specific needs. Redundant fleet logic ensures maximum availability. Each vehicle can be serviced or replaced without interrupting the entire system.

The use of next-generation batteries, combined with dynamic route planning, significantly reduces energy consumption, charging needs, and maintenance. This ensures precise, safe, and ergonomic transport, even for sensitive goods.

SSI Piece Picking: Precision robotics at the service of throughput

Alongside this world premiere, SSI SCHAEFER will be demonstrating SSI Piece Picking, its robotic solution dedicated to the automated picking of small parts. Capable of achieving up to 1,200 picks per hour with over 99% success on the first scan , this intelligent gantry robot integrates easily into existing installations and operates continuously 24/7.

Its patented gripping point optimization guarantees immediate barcode reading, while its pick -and-place approach ensures gentle and precise handling, even for fragile products. Featuring AI-powered object recognition and automatic error correction, SSI Piece Picking reduces manual intervention and improves overall process reliability. Powered by WAMAS software, it works seamlessly with SSI Cuby and SSI Flexi shuttles, conveyor systems, and the A-Frame, offering a plug-and- play solution suitable for industrial, e-commerce, pharmaceutical, and cosmetic environments.

A conference dedicated to FastBots Solution at the heart of the SITL program

SSI SCHAEFER will be speaking as part of the official trade fair program. A presentation dedicated to FastBots Solution, entitled "FastBots Solution: The New Era of Intralogistics Automation," will be given on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, from 2:40 p.m. to 3:10 p.m. in Conversation 1. This presentation will explain in detail the technological advancements of FastBots, its impact on operational performance, and the new automation models it enables.

A reinforced presence to assist visitors

Throughout the trade show, visitors will have the opportunity to meet the SSI SCHAEFER France teams and speak directly with its executives. Philippe Dugougeat , Managing Director of SSI Schaefer France, and Nicolas Bourgeois , Sales Director of SSI Schaefer France, will be at booth N038 to present the innovations and answer all questions.
