As a leader in cold chain solutions, Carrier is dedicated to helping eliminate hunger, enhance food safety and ensure access to essential food and medicine. Its charitable contributions and employee volunteerism aim to reduce food loss, waste and associated environmental emissions. For the past decade, Carrier has supported FEBA through financial contributions, in-kind donations of refrigeration units and volunteer hours.

Carrier’s donation will support and enhance FEBA’s mission and actions across Europe focusing on reducing food insecurity through the prevention of food loss and the support and development of food banks in countries where they are most needed. This contribution will help FEBA achieve its objectives to strengthen its network of more than 350 food banks across 30 countries by sharing knowledge and best practices, building expertise and ensuring efficiency for its members. It will also support the goal of developing food banks in new countries, crucial for expanding the organization’s reach.

“Hunger is a global challenge that requires collective action. We’re proud to continue our decade-long collaboration with European Food Banks Federation, supporting the expansion of food banks around the world and strengthening their capacity to serve communities more effectively," said Edward Dryden, President, Carrier Climate Solutions Transportation. “Together, we’re helping reduce food insecurity and creating a lasting impact in communities around the world.”

"Carrier's unwavering support and generous donation are vital to our mission in Europe," said Bernard Vallius, President of the European Food Banks Federation (FEBA). "A decade of collaboration is profoundly meaningful for FEBA. Their contributions have enhanced our efforts and professionalism, enabling us to save more food from waste and assist charities in helping those in need. Our work with Carrier is a testament to the power of collaboration in making a difference in people’s lives as well as for the environment."
