BOA Concept accelerates its international expansion with its first Canadian installation at Nationex
The publisher and manufacturer of intelligent intralogistics solutions announces the completion of its first installation in Quebec with Nationex, a Canadian leader in sustainable transportation. This initial collaboration marks a historic milestone for BOA Concept, whose ambition is to expand across the Atlantic.
Just a few months after opening its subsidiary in early 2025, BOA Concept has signed its first Canadian project. The software publisher, manufacturer, and integrator has completed its first installation for a major player in North American sustainable transportation: the Quebec-based delivery company Nationex. Operational since September, the installation was deployed in just fifteen days at the courier's logistics warehouse, located in the southwest of Montreal, Quebec. Designed specifically to meet the carrier's high-volume requirements and the diverse range of packages handled, it optimizes both the receiving of packages at Nationex's distribution center and their dispatch within the Montreal urban area.
A flexible and modular solution for enhanced performance
The deployed solution relies on a comprehensive and flexible architecture that integrates a five-sided scanning gantry for the reliable and rapid identification of all incoming packages, as well as a conveyor line sized to handle all formats, from the largest to the smallest, including envelopes. It also includes a sorting station with multiple lanes organized by delivery zones, ensuring smoother and more efficient operation. Thanks to this system, Nationex is now able to process and organize all its shipments within a single working timeframe.
Shared environmental values
Nationex chose BOA Concept because of the speed and ease of installation of its systems, the modularity of its equipment, the interoperability of its information solutions, and the seamless communication with its teams. Long committed to decarbonizing transportation with a fleet of 100% electric vehicles, the Quebec-based carrier was also particularly drawn to the eco-responsible approach of the "Run-On- Demand " technology developed by BOA Concept. Thanks to controlled energy consumption management, this technology reduces energy costs by up to 80%, a valuable advantage for Canada's first B Corp certified parcel carrier. In less than two years, Nationex has delivered more than 3.5 million parcels using electric vehicles and aims to reduce its emissions by 43% by 2030.
“Winning this first contract in North America is a symbolic step in our international development strategy. This installation for Nationex marks the beginning of a new phase of transformation for BOA Concept and confirms the relevance of our technology in a demanding market, seeking solutions that deliver both productivity gains and improved working conditions. Two challenges to which we perfectly address,” emphasizes Patrice Henrion, CEO of BOA Concept.
