The Vector® S 15 temperature-controlled trailer unit engineered for efficient transportation across all distances is now available. Carrier Transicold’s latest unit combines energy efficiency and reliability with a user-friendly design, meeting the industry’s high-performance demands. Carrier Transicold is part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

With its semi-electric architecture, the Vector S 15 offers the same refrigeration performance in diesel mode as the Vector 1550, while significantly reducing fuel consumption. It uses 20% less diesel than the Vector 1550, effectively addressing the economic challenges faced by transport operators.

“The Vector S 15 marks a significant step forward in refrigerated transport efficiency,” said Jean-Michel Vadecard, Product Director Truck Trailer International, Carrier Transicold. “Its robust design, outstanding fuel efficiency and ability to operate at low noise levels provide an economical, high-performance solution for our customers – an important factor in the current economic climate.”

Beyond its energy efficiency, the Vector S 15 is also notable for its exceptionally quiet operation. When maintaining temperature, the unit automatically switches to reduced speed, reducing noise levels by 6 dB(A) compared to the Vector 1550 under the same conditions.

Weighing approximately 700 kilograms, the Vector S 15 is among the lightest models in its industry class. The lightweight design can help reduce operating costs by improving fuel consumption and increasing payload capacity. Its easily accessible system for servicing components streamlines maintenance and minimizes downtime. Additionally, the oil maintenance interval has been extended to 3,000 hours.

The unit is also equipped with telematics, ensuring compatibility with Carrier Transicold's Lynx Fleet digital platform. This platform combines refrigeration equipment data with machine learning, helping customers make faster, data-driven decisions to help them take action to improve the efficiency and sustainability of their supply chains.
