Robot bacs BOA Concept

BOA Concept, the manufacturer, designer, and integrator of intralogistics solutions, will unveil a brand new robot at the International Transport and Logistics Exhibition (SITL). This latest addition from BOA Concept is specifically designed for applying lids to shuttle containers. It integrates artificial intelligence and the embedded vision system developed by its subsidiary Roboptic.

BOA Concept is continuing its mission: to democratize robotics in the warehouse. After picking and palletizing, the intralogistics solutions specialist is now optimizing packaging. At SITL, which will be held from April 1st to 3rd at Paris Porte de Versailles, BOA Concept will present several robotic solutions aimed at optimizing picking, packing, and palletizing. Among them, its latest innovation: a robot that handles the application of lids to shuttle containers for store replenishment in a B2B flow approach.

Equipped with a high-precision articulated arm, this robot integrates artificial intelligence and the embedded vision system from Roboptic, a subsidiary of BOA Concept. Thanks to these advanced technologies, it visualizes and analyzes the arrival of containers on the processing line in real time, allowing it to apply plastic lids with extreme precision. The benefits are numerous: increased productivity, simplified maintenance compared to mechanical solutions on the market, and, above all, the elimination of this repetitive, low-value-added task, a source of musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs). The solution is scalable and adapts, among other things, to changes in container format.

This intelligent robot has already proven its worth. It has been operational since last January in the warehouse of a logistics provider using plastic containers for restocking a chain of stores. Offered at an affordable price, between €150,000 and €200,000, it offers a return on investment in less than 18 months.

"This robot is part of our ongoing innovation approach, true to our vision. By combining artificial intelligence, vision, robotics, and workflow, we are redefining performance standards in the warehouse," emphasizes Patrice Henrion, Managing Director of BOA Concept.

Head-to-Head Trials Confirm Carrier Transicold Units Deliver Superior Fuel Efficiency Amid Rising Diesel Prices

Logistics, Supply Chain & Transport
As fuel prices continue to rise and operating costs come under increasing pressure, companies across the refrigerated transport industry are seeking proven solutions to help protect margins while maintaining performance and reliability. New comparative trials show that Carrier Transicold's Vector® trailer temperature-controlled units deliver significant fuel efficiency and savings. Tested on customer-owned assets, a methodology that reflects real-world operating conditions rather than controlled environments, the trials evaluated Carrier Transicold’s single-compartment Vector S 15 and Vector High Efficiency (HE) 17 systems. The results align with what fleet operators have reported in the field: Carrier Transicold’s units deliver lower fuel consumption without compromising on temperature performance – directly supporting operators’ sustainability objectives alongside their bottom line. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.
