Vector HE 19

A new software upgrade from Carrier Transicold can reduce fuel consumption by up to 19% on Vector High Efficiency (HE) 19 trailer refrigeration units, without replacing hardware. Carrier Transicold is a part of Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions.

The fuel optimization upgrade, validated through testing under real-world customer operating conditions, recalibrates the Vector HE 19’s operating system to enhance fuel efficiency while maintaining precise temperature control for single- and multi-temperature applications. This data-driven development, grounded in usage learning from extensive, anonymized Lynx Fleet platform data, reflects Carrier Transicold’s commitment to lowering customer fuel consumption and reducing carbon emissions while maintaining performance. The upgrade is available through any of Carrier Transicold’s more than 800 service centers across EMEA and comes standard on all new Vector HE 19 units – giving fleet operators a fast, flexible path to lower operating costs.

Arriving at the right time

The update comes as refrigerated transport operators across Europe face sustained fuel price volatility and growing pressure to reduce emissions. For fleets seeking measurable progress without capital expenditure, a software-driven efficiency gain offers an immediate and practical solution.
"Fuel is one of the most significant and unpredictable costs in long-haul refrigerated transport. This update gives operators a practical way to cut fuel use, without capital investment and with minimal disruption," said Jean-Pascal Vielfaure, Product Director, International Truck Trailer, Carrier Transicold. "The testing confirms that targeted software optimization can make a meaningful difference to day-to-day running costs."

How it works

The fuel optimization upgrade reconfigures the Vector HE 19 to deliver a range of operational advances, including:
•    A new engine speed range in both start-stop and continuous mode duty cycles.
•    Optimized settings to reduce fuel burn across operating conditions.
•    New software logic to improve daily usage efficiency.

These refinements build on the Vector HE 19's already strong platform performance, which delivers up to 30% fuel savings compared to the previous-generation Vector 1950.

"With more than 800 service centers across EMEA, we've made it simple for customers to activate the fuel optimization upgrade and start saving from day one,” said Jérôme Struk, Service Director, Carrier Transicold International Truck Trailer. “Our teams provide ongoing guidance to ensure every fleet captures the full benefit: lower fuel costs, reduced emissions and peak unit performance."

The fuel optimization upgrade is available now for existing Vector HE 19 units through any Carrier Transicold Service Partner. All new Vector HE 19 systems ship with the updated software as standard.
